Rev. Tamara E. Wilson, D.Min. is an anointed preacher, author, and community leader who, guided by faith, integrity, and authenticity, continually strives to be the best version of the woman God created her to be by using her voice to empower, support, and enhance the lives of others.

Dr. Wilson serves as the Pastor of the Pleasant Hope Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland. She is also the founder of Journey Ministries, through which she facilitates programming designed to support women in their pursuit of self-discovery and purpose.

A strong advocate for preserving the history, culture, and lives of African Americans, Dr. Wilson has served and continues to serve on various commissions, boards, task forces, and community organizations. Currently, she is the President of the Banneker Douglass Tubman Museum Foundation and the Vice President of Ruth’s Pink House. She is also a proud and dedicated life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Dr. Wilson has developed educational programs aimed at improving health outcomes and is the author of two books: The Journey to Self… Who Knows What a Woman Can Be When She Is Free to Be Herself and 9 Weeks to Discovering, Becoming & Being You. She holds degrees from the University of Maryland, St. Mary’s Seminary and University, and United Theological Seminary.

Dr. Wilson is married to Ernest Wilson, Jr., and is the proud mother of Morgan and Kristen and grandmother of Zakai and Rabiah.
